Finally decided to try this on Ubuntu + WINE. Works good.
Got like ~80 points or something. Only lost because I got bored of running away and deliberately ran into the enemies to get powerups. Didn't figure out how to spend my 300+ coins. Now I do after re-reading the controls.
Seems like Scroll to Switch Weapons doesn't work in WINE??

Came from YouTube video, great story base! Wish this were browser playable, but woo! Sentient item fun!
